This training is for professionals who work within single family offices and family foundations. If you work in a multi-family office or a consultancy that serves multiple family clients, we invite you to attend one of our open Approach Trainings which take place both in-person and virtually throughout the year.
As a family enterprise professional, you wear many hats. You oversee investment portfolios, estate plans, governance, risk management, legacy planning, philanthropy, tax reporting, and the list goes on. Amidst a litany of responsibilities, the one thing that can often be neglected is family – the heart and soul of the operation. So, how do we reorient? How do we ensure that the values, relationships, and stories that undergird family serve as the foundation of our work? How do we engage family members in a way that yields deeper meaning and transformational outcomes for generations to come?
21/64 will host a special “Approach Training” tailored to the needs of single family office and family foundation professionals, taking place over two days. Participants will learn tried and true approaches for engaging family members in productive conversations about values, legacy and relationships. By focusing on the human side of the family enterprise, you will be able to increase the efficiency and impact of planning, governance and investment activities for current and future generations. Program content will be consistent with our general Approach training; however, we will frame real world scenarios specifically through a family enterprise lens.
The 21/64 Approach Training is a recognized certification program that explores the human dimension of work with next generation and multigenerational family enterprises. Attendees learn how to help clients clarify their identities, which in turn informs family engagement and structures for decision-making. In this training, you will learn 21/64’s proven methodology for engaging individuals and families at the intersection of values and governance. The program is specifically designed to help you more comfortably engage family members in important and often complicated conversations, whether you are new to the family enterprise field or a seasoned professional adjusting to new modalities of this work.
Once you've completed the 21/64 Approach Training, you will become a 21/64 Certified Advisor, joining a global network of accredited professionals. You will also have the option of joining the 21/64 Learning Community with free access to continued skill building, next level trainings, the latest resources and tools, and more.
