Rebecca W. Sauer is senior associate for donor services and has been a member of the Grants and Donor Services team at Thrivent Charitable since December of 2000. Her experience includes developing and implementing Thrivent Charitable’s donor services program, heading its Creation Care/Environmental Initiative and supporting hundreds of donors in achieving their charitable goals and is a 21/64 Certified Advisor. She currently serves as Board President for Minnesota Symphonic Winds and recently ended her term as a member of the EcoFaith Network team of the Minneapolis Area Synod of the ELCA working for environmental justice.
Rebecca recently served on Thrivent’s corporate cultural competence leadership cohort, serving as an advocate and champion for diversity and inclusion efforts. She has served as the Board Chair for Minnesota Interfaith Power & Light and Membership/Communications co-chair for the steering committee of EPIP Minnesota. She is a Lutheran Volunteer Corps alum and received her B.M. in Bassoon Performance from St. Olaf College and her MiniMBA for NonProfit Organizations from the University of St. Thomas.
She and her husband live with their two children in St. Paul. Rebecca is an active member at Lutheran Church of the Resurrection and enjoys being a mom and playing her bassoon at church and for the Minnesota Symphonic Winds.
