Amy Blumenthal is a trusted consultant who brings over 25 years of nonprofit development leadership experience and deep knowledge of best practices to her clients. She believes that intentional planning and strategy lead to impactful and joyful giving.
Amy is a Senior Vice President at TWB Fundraising, where she has a niche practice working with multigenerational high-net-worth donor families to establish and manage family foundations that reflect their shared values and priorities for philanthropic impact. Her approach is relationship-centered with the goals of building consensus, facilitating communication and decision-making, and succession planning. She also provides counsel in campaign planning and implementation, fundraising program development, board development, and fundraising coaching.
Prior to joining TWB, Amy spent most of her career in fundraising and campaign planning roles at the University of Virginia, UW-Milwaukee, and Marquette University. She also ran the women’s campaign for the Milwaukee Jewish Federation, where she staffed the Jewish Women’s Endowment Fund.
Amy earned a bachelor’s degree from Smith College and an MA and MPhil from Yale University. She is a Certified Fundraising Executive. An active volunteer, she currently serves on several nonprofit boards and she is a past president of her synagogue. Amy and her husband Ed live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and have two adult daughters.
