Priscilla Montoya
Priscilla Montoya is the Director of Development for the Latino Community Foundation of Colorado (LCFC). In her current role, she oversees fundraising, sponsorships, planned gifts and donor cultivation. Priscilla’s work with LCFC started in 2014 as a consultant. She worked on various LCFC projects focused on capacity building, strategy alignment, education, and mental health in rural Colorado. Equity, community democracy and systems change are driving values in Priscilla’s work. She currently serves on several committees that explore equity issues across Colorado, including the COVID-19 Health Equity Response Team for the State of Colorado. She is also the cochair of the Colorado Equity Alliance, comprised of representation of most state agencies. At the University of Denver, Priscilla worked on issues of diversity and inclusiveness through the Interdisciplinary Research Incubator for the Study of (In)Equality (IRISE) and the DU Latino Center for Community Engagement and Scholarship (DULCCES). Her experience in community and organizational social work helps her approach her work with a social justice lens. Priscilla also has several years of direct practice experience in the field of child welfare in both Georgia and Colorado. She continues to advocate for related issues through various organizations. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in cultural anthropology/psychology from Texas State University and a Master of Social Work from the University of Denver. She lives in Denver with her son Luciano. Priscilla’s pronouns are she/her/hers.
