21/64 Certified Advisor Sharing & Stewardship Guidelines

Our Purpose

As a mission-driven nonprofit, 21/64 is committed to expanding access to this work while honoring the generosity of the donors, partners, and supporters whose investments have made its development possible. These guidelines are intended to make it easy to share and steward 21/64’s work responsibly, protect the integrity of our tools and learning experiences, and help others discover the original resources.

Our hope is not simply that you use these resources, but that you help extend their reach and impact while preserving their integrity for future generations of advisors, families, and communities.

Protecting our intellectual property honors the generous investments that have made this work possible, preserves the integrity of the learning experience, and enables us to continue creating new resources for the field. Accordingly, our copyrighted tools, activities, language, graphics, facilitator materials, digital resources, and other proprietary content remain protected and may be used only as expressly permitted in these guidelines.

These guidelines govern the sharing and reproduction of 21/64’s intellectual property. They do not limit your ability to apply the knowledge, skills, facilitation techniques, or professional judgment you developed through 21/64 training in your own advisory, consulting, educational, or philanthropic work.

Who Is a 21/64 Certified Advisor?

A 21/64 Certified Advisor is an individual who has successfully completed a designated 21/64 certification program, and is committed to upholding the 21/64 Principles of Practice. Certification signifies a commitment to ongoing professional development and to advancing thoughtful, values-based conversations about wealth, family, philanthropy, and purpose.

You Are Encouraged To

As a 21/64 Certified Advisor, we encourage you to:

Identify yourself as a 21/64 Certified Advisor. Certification signifies your commitment to the 21/64 Principles of Practice and to advancing thoughtful, values-based conversations about wealth, family, philanthropy, and purpose.
Reference concepts, frameworks, and ideas you learned through 21/64 training in your own advisory, facilitation, educational, or philanthropic work.
Share your experience participating in 21/64 trainings and explain how they have influenced your practice.
Credit 21/64 whenever drawing upon our original frameworks, publications, research, or methodologies.
Recommend 21/64 books, trainings, workshops, and tools to clients and colleagues, and link to the original resources whenever practical.
Use your training to foster meaningful conversations that strengthen families, advisors, organizations, and communities.

What You May Share Without Additional Permission

You may, without additional written permission:

Share the names and brief descriptions of 21/64 trainings, workshops, books, research, and tools.
Use authorized promotional images supplied by 21/64.
Write or speak about your experience participating in 21/64 trainings.
Cite 21/64 publications and research with proper attribution.
Share links to 21/64 resources, publications, and training opportunities.
Use limited excerpts as permitted below, provided appropriate attribution is included.

All shared content should include proper attribution and, whenever practical, link to the applicable page on the 21/64 website.

Limited Reproduction

No more than three (3) images may be reproduced without prior written permission.

No complete tool, card deck, facilitator guide, digital interface, or substantial portion of any 21/64 resource may be reproduced without prior written permission.

Individual pages or activities may be reproduced only as expressly permitted in these guidelines.

Only images supplied or expressly approved by 21/64 may be used. Images may not be cropped, edited, recolored, annotated, overlaid with graphics, or otherwise modified except for proportional resizing.

Uses Beyond These Guidelines Require Written Permission

Please contact 21/64 before:

Reproducing content beyond these guidelines.
Publishing 21/64 content in books, e-books, journals, commercial publications, courses, or paid educational programs.
Reproducing or distributing collections of 21/64 tools or substantial portions of facilitator materials.
Reproducing screenshots of digital tools or facilitator resources beyond the permissions above.
Translating, adapting, or creating derivative versions of 21/64 tools or materials.
Using 21/64 names, logos, trademarks, or staff likenesses for promotional or commercial purposes.
Any use that falls outside these guidelines.

We frequently approve educational, conference, nonprofit, and mission-aligned uses beyond these guidelines and welcome the opportunity to discuss your intended use.

What Is Not Permitted

Without prior written permission, you may not:

Reproduce complete tools, card decks, facilitator guides, activities, or digital resources.
Create derivative works or substantially similar products based on 21/64 tools or facilitator materials.
Remove copyright notices, trademarks, or required attribution.
Present 21/64 content as your own original work.
Upload 21/64 tools or facilitator materials into public AI systems for the purpose of reproducing, adapting, or generating substantially similar tools or products.
Represent yourself as teaching official 21/64 curriculum unless separately authorized by 21/64.

Reservation of Rights

21/64 reserves all rights not expressly granted in these guidelines, including the exclusive rights to reproduce, publish, distribute, translate, adapt, license, and create derivative works from its intellectual property. No implied license is granted.

Enforcement

Failure to comply with these guidelines may result in:

Withdrawal of permission.
Requests for immediate removal of content.
Suspension or revocation of Certified Advisor status, where applicable.
Legal or equitable remedies available to protect 21/64’s intellectual property.

21/64 reserves the right to monitor the use of its intellectual property and request documentation regarding its use.
