Exploring Self, Role & Spirit

This is an invitation for leaders to pause, reflect, and return to their own grounding and deeper purpose.

Join 21/64 for an immersive experience to engage with spirituality to deepen your authentic leadership. Together, participants will cultivate connection, mutual learning, and deeper awareness while exploring practices that ground and strengthen their own spiritual foundation alongside others.

Registration for the 2026 gathering is now closed. Dates and location for 2027 will be announced this fall. If you’re interested in joining us for a future gathering, please reach out to Managing Director, Andine Sutarjadi.

The Retreat

At 21/64, we believe that the ability to guide others with clarity, courage, and compassion begins with our own inner grounding. When we are rooted in our values and are able to see ourselves with honesty and intention, we create the conditions for others to do the same. For many, this grounding and rootedness is nurtured through our faith, belief systems, or spiritual practices.

Today’s leaders are navigating rapid change, compounding crises, and rising expectations to achieve success while leading empathy and integrity. Many are stretched emotionally, yet are still expected to meet ambitious goals. How can leaders move forward in a way that is grounded, humane, and rooted in something deeper than efficiency or output?

Facilitating a space for leaders to explore their spiritual grounding is not only timely; it is necessary for shaping the kind of leadership our communities and institutions urgently need.

This time and space will allow you to envision the change you hope to make in the world, articulate the legacy you want to leave, and deepen your capacity to lead with empathy and courage toward a more compassionate, and loving world.

Clarifying Terms

Spirituality
Spirituality, as we use it here, is an inextricable sense of being connected to something greater than ourselves. It is the understanding that because “I am rooted in love, compassion, and purpose, the person next to me is too”. It is the recognition that we are all held within a larger force that binds us to one another.

Spirituality is about finding meaning, purpose, and belonging through this greater connection. It can be expressed through religious practice, but it is not dependent on religion. In this context, we intentionally distinguish the two: spirituality is a universal human experience; religion is a particular set of traditions or beliefs.

Leader

A leader is anyone willing to take responsibility for people or process and to lift up what’s possible. It includes individuals within a family, system, or organization who are working toward an outcome grounded in hope, possibility, and shared purpose.

At 21/64, leadership is not defined by power, position, or formal role. It is a skill, not a title. It is the act of striving for a better future and taking the steps to guide, support, or steward others toward it.
