Gathering Wisely: Design Better Meetings for Family, Colleagues, and Community

Gathering Wisely:

Design Better Meetings for Family, Colleagues, and Community

At our core, humans are social beings. Research shows that our connections with others are as important to keeping us healthy as good nutrition and exercise.

The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted our ability to gather at a time when we need connections more than ever. While technology offers video meetings to continue with business and stay in touch with our networks, truly successful interactions can’t be achieved by just clicking a link. Forging true connections is not just a matter of gathering people together, but of gathering them wisely.

At 21/64 we understand that gathering wisely is an art form and has been a practice of ours for nearly 20 years. It requires building trust, clarifying the purpose of working together, listening and creating healthy process for dialogue, and support for each other's efforts and aspirations.

Join us for an interactive workshop that will help you acquire a proven framework to lead gatherings that reflect purposeful intention, create more robust participation and take your facilitation skills to the next level.

Next Workshop Date: Wednesday October 7, 2020 1:00-2:30PM ET

Fee:
$250 per person.

I thought it was exceptionally well facilitated and by far the best Zoom webinar I’ve attended since being remote full-time. Lots of great content and also just a really good example of how to make large group meetings interesting online – even when they are 90 minutes. The time flew by!

The 21/64 program has been transformational in how I work with my donor clients. I am able to have authentic and actionable conversations about their philanthropy using tools and techniques I learned in the workshop.

The 21/64 training was one of the best uses of my time and resources for my business of advising wealthy families. I have used several of the tools to help deepen the relationships I have with the families I serve. Additionally, I have found the techniques learned in the training to be very useful in the hiring and training process for new employees as well as the 'getting to know you' phase of new client relationships. I cannot recommend 21/64 enough if you are looking for new and value-added ways to serve your clients and their families in their philanthropy.

Just off the phone with a family foundation that found me via 21/64. They have hired me to facilitate a cousin consortium meeting in March. Couldn't be happier. I utterly love this work. Thanks to you, your vision and our 21/64 community!

Thank you!! Your training and materials are so spot on... They are learnable and highly valuable and useful. I just left a family meeting and it went extremely well. I couldn't have scripted it better had I been asked to imagine what a great outcome would be. I asked the family part way through how they felt about the two exercises. They were all very positive about them and really enjoyed doing them.

2164 has been the most positive and valuable professional development opportunity I have ever participated in. The continued added value through your posts and conference calls keeps the knowledge on the front burner and always fresh. I really appreciate you and your work

You have created a fabulous training for the 21/64 tools – the combination of personal and group development, learning on individual and then facilitation levels, and working with specific tools and an overall system – what a hard balance that you did extremely well. So many thanks for including me in the program!

The 21/64 Virtual Approach Training is high quality and organized, and a great use of the virtual meeting space and peer network. This is one of the best, most useful trainings I've been in and that I'll actually use. I look forward to the next training opportunity to add layers of knowledge and tools to this base. Also, the group of individuals participating in the training was professional and qualified. There weren't stark differences in fields or experience levels, which I found helpful and made the experience more valuable in the time we had to learn and discuss the topics and tools.

While particularly helpful if engaging in multi-generational discussions of philanthropy, this training is applicable to anyone consulting in the philanthropic sector. It's a great session to learn about tools for facilitation and discovering your own voice and approach as a facilitator.

Thank you to everyone at 21/64 for a truly incredible experience, especially when considering the unique nature of virtual training and the world we are in. I can only imagine how quickly you've had to pivot to find a way to present a huge amount of information efficiently and effectively in a virtual environment (and in a field that thrives on personal connection). Thank you for doing it so well, and for leaving space for everything that we brought to the table during this strange season. During our time together, you executed a training and created a community that was valuable, refreshing, and affirming. I look forward to remaining engaged with the community and applying many of the lessons learned in my day-to-day.
