I received this article yesterday, a rare article on Gen X. We see and hear lots in the media about Millennials, Gen Z and Baby Boomers, but the smallest of the generational cohorts, Gen X, is not often talked about. And the topic of the article, technology, is one of the biggest hiccups or challenges I hear about when talking to families about engaging the next generation.
As I read about Gen X parenting in a new age of technology, I was struck by the author’s articulation of the push and pull Gen X experiences as they raise their own children. The generational differences of the childhood many Gen Xers experienced, without technology as an aid for school and learning, for socialization and community and for entertainment and the childhood created for their own children, native technologists.
Take a look when you have some down time today…if nothing less at least Gen X is getting a little press;
