Money Messages Focus Group

Everyone has a “money story.” It’s a collection of inherited messages, assumptions, and biases that influence our attitudes and behaviors around money. In 2012, we launched Money Messages™, a powerful tool used by multigenerational families, advisors, and donors to evoke meaningful conversations on the topic of money. More than ten years later, we’re updating the tool to ensure that our work continues guiding a diverse array of clients – cultivating awareness and shifting perspectives.

In this 90-minute focus group, join founder of 21/64 Sharna Goldseker for a first viewing of the updated tool. You will experience the new prototype as a user, then we will engage in a spirited discussion where we’ll invite your feedback and critique.

Other than grad school, it was the best professional development program I’ve ever been a part of.  It taught me a new way of approaching my work and interacting with donor families.

I highly recommend this training, even if you are quite experienced in family meeting facilitation and client management. In addition to providing outstanding content, the training works on almost a meta level — not only are you covering the toolkits and techniques for facilitating family meetings in detail, but in addition you are able to observe skilled facilitators demonstrate these techniques in action as they work with the group. You are able to reflect about yourself and about the approach you bring to client work as you use the tools, and you are also able to learn from and share best practices with the highly experienced group of peers who attend the training alongside you. A highly valuable use of time!
