Nicholas Matlin is the Program Manager for Education and Engagement at the Center for High Impact Philanthropy at the School of Social Policy & Practice at the University of Pennsylvania. He manages CHIP’s education programs, advises on curriculum, and contributes to the center’s broader applied research work. Through the High Impact Philanthropy Academy, he engages directly with philanthropic families and their senior staff, as well as institutional funders; through Advising for Impact, he supports the advisors who serve them. Across both programs, his focus is helping funders and their advisors clarify values and translate them into effective philanthropic and social impact strategies — work informed by his own comfort navigating the family dynamics, and conversations about wealth and identity, that so often shape these efforts.
