Michael Chambers grew up in Lindsborg, KS and graduated from Bethany College. He has worked and lived in Salina, KS since 1995. Michael has a passion for bringing people together to support good ideas and has spent most of his career working to connect philanthropists and non-profits. Prior to joining Greater Salina Community Foundation, he worked as an Executive Director in the nonprofit space, and led major fundraising campaigns. Michael continues to support nonprofit charities through his work, serving as a board member, and through his personal giving.
Michael is married to Jim and they have two Pembroke Welsh Corgis. Michael spends his free time walking the dogs, working in his yard, and reading. His happy place is his backyard. He enjoys spending time there and is actively working to curate a backyard bird sanctuary.
