Kasie Merical is the Senior Director of Development and Donor Engagement at The Winston-Salem Foundation, where she leads efforts to deepen donor relationships and align philanthropic services with the foundation’s equity-centered mission. With over a decade of experience, Kasie cultivates joyful, high-impact giving experiences – helping families and individuals engage in philanthropy that reflects their values and legacy.
Previously, Kasie developed and executed donor engagement and communications initiatives at United Way of Forsyth County and at community foundations in Florida and Michigan. Kasie even founded KRM Communications to help organizations tell their story, which she now offers solely pro-bono while working at a funding institution.
Kasie holds a Master of Humanities in Communication and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations from Tiffin University, and she is a graduate of Leadership Winston-Salem’s Flagship Class of 2025. She remains dedicated to ensuring that philanthropy is inclusive, intergenerational, and deeply rewarding for both givers and the communities they serve.
Outside of work, you might find her exploring North Carolina by foot or bike with her spouse and their retired racing greyhounds.
