Kari Alterman is the founder of Good Name Advisors, where she works with individuals and families to advance their philanthropic dreams and preserve their good name through charitable gifts. She spent nearly a decade at the William Davidson Foundation, where her first eight years were spent directing the Jewish giving portfolio. She was also the Foundation’s External Affairs director and a Senior Advisor. Prior to joining the Foundation in 2015, Kari was the Detroit Regional Director for the American Jewish Committee, and spent 11 years working with the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit, concluding her tenure as its Leadership Development Director.
Kari is a graduate of the University of Michigan, with a BA in History, and an MSW and Certificate in Jewish Communal Service. In her volunteer life, she is a proud board member of Clover Hill Park Cemetery, is the secretary of OneTable, and an active 2nd generation speaker and board member at the Zekelman Holocaust Center. Kari is a former executive committee member and founding member of the Interfaith Leadership Council of Metropolitan Detroit, and served on the board of JPRO.
