Joy B. Webb, community catalyst and philanthropic advisor. Webb believes in a holistic, people-powered, and community-driven approach to philanthropy as the key to driving sustainable change and community transformation. Drawing from her extensive 15-year marketing career supporting Fortune 500 brands like Capital One and Delta Airlines, Joy possesses a deep understanding of how to motivate movement and inspire people to take action.

Inspired by her parents’ values of giving back, Joy transitioned from the corporate world nearly a decade ago to focus exclusively on philanthropy. Seamlessly blending her corporate skills with her passion for community engagement, Joy founded the Circle of Joy, a community intergenerational giving circle dedicated to supporting nonprofits focusing on Black youth and in Metro Atlanta, Georgia. The circle has successfully contributed $300k for the programs it supports.

In addition to her work with the Circle of Joy, Joy has been actively involved with the Community Investment Network (CIN) for close to two decades, serving in various roles, including board member, secretary, Chair of Leadership for the Atlanta CIN Conference in 2014, and Co-Chair for the Atlanta CIN National Conference in 2016. Collaborating with like-minded organizations, Joy has intentionally strengthened programs in communities of color, which have contributed $6 million to address the needs of current and future generations.

Currently, Joy collaborates with numerous civic-focused organizations, while also serving as Network Engagement Manager for Southern Black Girls and Women’s Consortium and a Giving Circle Coach for emerging and transforming collectives.

Joy is a graduate of the Leadership DeKalb Class of 2022 and the Women of Color Radiant Leadership Institute powered by Women of Color in Philanthropy and Fundraising 2022 Cohort, and The Funders Network PLACES fellowship cohort 2023. She actively participates in several municipal initiatives. Joy is a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP®) was recognized in the 2022 Black Women Give Back List by Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis’ (IUPUI) Women’s Philanthropy Institute, highlighting 10 Black women philanthropists who have made a significant impact in their communities.

A graduate of Florida A&M University with a BS in Graphic Design, Joy earned her MBA from the University of Phoenix. She is a proud member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and is certified in Youth Mental Health First Aid. As a native of Decatur, Georgia, Joy volunteers and actively serves as a community advocate.
