Currently, Joan is a Family Office Relationship Manager with Maestro FS, a multi-family office providing services and insights to families as they make the complex simple. Prior to Maestro, Joan was the foundation director at the a funder network community united by its commitment to create a just, joyful, and generative world. Here she facilitated a 200+ a multi-generational membership organization devoted to aligning resources with values while fostering a fertile training ground for the full and authentic expression of our passions and purpose. Previously, she worked for 11 years with an impact-focused family, working across all entities, including as Executive Director of the Family Foundation. Her role included providing early research and relationship development for their fellows/intern program, launch of ReFED, impact investing structure, and pilot projects in their Family Office and on their working farm. Throughout her career, she has created systems, processes, and events to help organizations and individuals thrive. She has built deep knowledge in the generative family space and created experiential gatherings for growth and development, building bridges across communities. Joan completed Graduate work in Agricultural and Natural Resource Economics at UConn and lived on a working farm in Morocco, post-grad work to gain experience in the sustainable development field.
