Emma Beeston is an independent philanthropy advisor to wealthy individuals and families. Before establishing her consultancy in 2015, she spent over 20 years working in the UK grant-making and charity sector, including managing programmes for BBC Children in Need and Lloyds Bank Foundation. That experience gave her a deep understanding of the sector her clients want to support, as well as the realities of giving well.
She is co-author of the book Advising Philanthropists: Principles and Practice. Alongside her advisory work, she teaches on Master’s programmes in philanthropy at the University of Kent, University of Venice, and Bayes Business School, and trains professional advisers in philanthropy.
Emma is a recommended Philanthropy Advisor in the Spear’s 500, an accredited member of P150 and the National Network of Consultants to Grant-Makers, a certified Impact Philanthropy Advisor and a 21/64-trained facilitator for multi-generational families.
