Daniella Ben-Attar is a Philanthropy & Social Impact Advisor and 21/64 Certified Advisor, working independently with philanthropists, family offices, foundations, social investors, and organizations on strategy, portfolio design, and grantmaking — helping clients make context-grounded, high-impact social investments in Israel and globally.
She brings nearly 30 years of experience driving social change, strengthening public systems, and advancing strategic grantmaking at the intersection of children and youth, urban development, and philanthropy. Her perspective has been shaped by global work with the World Bank, UN-HABITAT, and leading international foundations and networks. As Israel Representative of the Van Leer Foundation for 11 years, she led strategy and high-impact initiatives bridging government, philanthropy, and business to transform national and municipal systems serving young children and families — from embedding trauma-informed care across Israel’s child health infrastructure to pioneering city-wide early childhood innovation through a landmark global urban program, with work extending to a major initiative in Addis Ababa.
She holds an M.A. in Political Science and International Relations from Tel Aviv University and a B.A. in Government and International Relations from Clark University, and has completed executive education programs at Harvard, Columbia, INSEAD, and the London School of Economics.
She brings a rare combination of content expertise — early childhood, trauma-informed systems, and urban innovation — and process expertise in systems change, government-philanthropy partnerships, and cross-sector coalition building.
