Harris Bostic II is Senior Advisor in Client Services at Tides. As part of the Tides community based in San Francisco, Harris engages social venture and philanthropic partners to accelerate the pace of social change by building capacity and allocating resources through the lens of equity and inclusion. Affirmatively characterized as a “serial social change entrepreneur”, Harris has helped architect, implement, fundraise and build momentum for projects ranging from a multifaceted Caribbean regionalized resiliency initiative to a COVID rapid response grantmaking program. With a special emphasis on supporting BIPOC-led entities, he helps to advance Tides’ focus on direct impact and strategy towards programming and movement-building that achieve redistributions of power, growth, social capital, access and collaboration.

Harris has gained a vast knowledge of the social change sector having served as an advisor, board member, consultant, and employee with scores of domestic and global nonprofit organizations. Through his previous work with the Clinton Foundation, American Red Cross, Peace Corps, the Olympic Movement, Abyssinian Development Corporation as well as various nonprofit board affiliations, Harris has helped to build positive social impact in locales stretching from Atlanta to Zimbabwe and many points in between.

Harris has an MA in public policy from Georgia State University and a BA in business from Morehouse College and received a certificate in Project Management from the University of California, Berkeley
