In a time of significant societal change, donors and advisors are navigating shifting priorities and evolving roles. To better understand these dynamics, 21/64 partnered with the National Network of Consultants to Grantmakers (NNCG) to conduct a national study in 2024 exploring the donor-advisor relationship and the key trends shaping the field of philanthropic advising.

More than 540 consultants, donors, advisors, and funders responded to the national benchmarking survey led in partnership by both organizations. The findings offer timely insights into the evolving landscape of philanthropic advising and highlight the critical shifts influencing the field today.
