I am a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy and currently serve as Senior Vice President, Leadership and Planned Giving for the National Park Foundation. I have the special opportunity to engage a community of philanthropists around how they can activate their Six Ts of Philanthropy for the benefit of our cultural and natural heritage. Together, we work to ensure the stories of all Americans are represented in the national parks and that everyone feels a sense of belonging in the parks.
Prior to joining NPF I was the senior executive of Advancement and Community Engagement at The American College of Financial Services, where we are committed to democratizing financial education, access to financial services, and uplifting and supporting underserved communities on their wealth building journeys. I previously had the pleasure to serve Villanova University and support the Nova Nation as the head of the Office of Gift and Estate Planning. Together, we created a culture of philanthropy that continues to empower the Villanova community to greater heights. And winning a few NCAA basketball championships when I was there was very cool!
I started my nonprofit and fundraising career at The Nature Conservancy, where I worked in learning and development, conservation programs, and a myriad of fundraising roles, in Virginia, Idaho, and Pennsylvania. My first “child,” Ernie, a Brittany-Lab, was born in Earnest Hemingway’s Sun Valley, Idaho home. TNC transformed my life!
My wife and I enjoy the love and chaos of our family, with four kids and two dogs (Great Pyrenees-mix and a Australian Shepherd-Standard Poodle mix). If you’re familiar with the sitcom “The Middle,” then you know our family. And I would love to get to know your family too!
