Clarifying Your Philanthropic Identity
Next Workshop Date: Wednesday, April 26, 2023
12:00-1:30pm ET
As we think about 2023, many donors and clients have been asking how they can give back to support those in need and the professional advisors have asked how they can help facilitate those discussions. While it may seem easy to write a check to a local mutual aid society, it’s often overwhelming to know where to contribute beyond that. Join us for Clarifying Your Philanthropic Identity facilitated by Sharna Goldseker, founder of 21/64, one of the leading experts on family philanthropy in the United States, and co-author of Generation Impact: How Next Gen Donors Are Revolutionizing Giving. This lively, interactive and inspiring session will offer a practical experience for donors and clients to clarify the legacy, values and vision that drive their philanthropic decision making to help them decide what to fund and model ideas for professional advisors to facilitate these conversations.
With interactive exercises and small group discussions, we will help participants reflect on the the stories they heard growing up, the values they bring to their philanthropy, and their vision for the legacy they want to leave in the world. 21/64 will also reference and use versions of some its unique interactive tools during the session.
