Connecting Wealth & Privilege to Purpose – March 1, 2023

Connecting Wealth & Privilege to Purpose

Next Workshop Date: Wednesday, March 1, 2023

12:00-2:00pm ET

Recently, we have had discussions with many of you who have been struggling as turbulent times have made privilege—of wealth, health, community, employment, race, and more—increasingly apparent. Many next gen donors feel guilt that their wealth is a privilege, especially when so many are struggling to meet basic needs; while older generations, particularly those who have made the wealth, don’t see privilege through the same lens. Some of you are advisors, in service to your clients and seeking to help those feeling stuck by their privilege.  It has become increasingly clear that the zeitgeist around acknowledging, understanding and leveraging privilege towards positive change has gained momentum.

In this 2-hour workshop, we will consider how to use what we have towards greater purpose and meaning.

The 21/64 program has been transformational in how I work with my donor clients. I am able to have authentic and actionable conversations about their philanthropy using tools and techniques I learned in the workshop.

I highly recommend this training, even if you are quite experienced in family meeting facilitation and client management. In addition to providing outstanding content, the training works on almost a meta level — not only are you covering the toolkits and techniques for facilitating family meetings in detail, but in addition you are able to observe skilled facilitators demonstrate these techniques in action as they work with the group. You are able to reflect about yourself and about the approach you bring to client work as you use the tools, and you are also able to learn from and share best practices with the highly experienced group of peers who attend the training alongside you. A highly valuable use of time!

You have created a fabulous training for the 21/64 methodology and tools – the combination of personal and group development, learning on individual and then facilitation levels, and working with specific tools and an overall system – what a hard balance that you did extremely well. So many thanks for including me in the program!
