21/64 Time, Talent, Treasure & Ties Tool
The tool is editable and you can fill in the different components on the tool itself. Start by defining what Time, Talent, Treasure & Ties means to you. For example, others have defined them as:
- Time: Volunteering for a certain amount of your time
- Talent: Sharing skills (e.g., writing, graphic design, organizational development, technical skills, event planning, etc.)
- Treasure: Contributing money and in-kind donations
- Ties: Seeking inspiration, information and strategic input from peers
Spend time responding to the following questions, writing in each section:
- What comes to mind for each of these: Time, Talent, Treasure & Ties?
- How do they show up in your life?
- What, if anything, is surprising to you about how you define them?
- Working in one quadrant at a time, record a list of how you shared these four resources in the past year. Notice which T quadrant you gave to the most, and which you gave to the least.
- Working in one quadrant at a time, how would you ideally allocate your resources among the four Ts in the next year?
