Michael Chertok is Director of Philanthropy at the Jewish Community Federation of San Francisco. He bring a unique blend of philanthropic, program development and social entrepreneurial skills to this role. He has been published and is a frequent public speaker across these areas. He previously worked at the Silicon Valley Community Foundation, where he served as Vice President of Donor Experience and Engagement. Before that, he co-founded Digital Divide Data, a global workforce development social enterprise, where he led strategy, business and fund development activities. He also served as program officer for global development at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and co-founded the philanthropic initiative of a Silicon Valley venture capital firm. Michael has a B.A. from Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, and an M.B.A. and a certificate in Public Management from Stanford University.
