Laura’s experiences growing up overseas, created a passion for philanthropy and a belief that we each have a significant contribution to make, whether time, treasure or talent.
Laura started her career working for World Vision, a three billion dollar NGO in marketing, and then had a decade in strategic development. She has recently held roles as philanthropic advisor at Excellence in Giving and next generation consultant at World Vision International in London. She currently serves as Chief Relationship Officer at Spur Philanthropy, working with multi-generations to explore legacy and focus, creating roadmaps to impact. She also engages with foundations through strategic grantmaking and social impact sourcing.
Laura is partnering with the Nonprofit Institute at Colorado College to mentor and engage students interested in philanthropy, and the QUAD Innovation Partnership, advising college students and recent alumni including the US Air Force Academy as they work to solve rooted problems in their communities. She advocates nationally for better access to mental health support for young adults and currently serves on the Goodwill of Colorado and Touch of Love International boards.
Laura received a Bachelor of Arts from Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California and a Master of Business Administration from the Marshal School of Business at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
She and her husband have two college students and live along Colorado’s beautiful front range.
