Irit E. Gross is the Associate Vice-President at the Jewish Federations of North America, responsible for managing and staffing JFNA’s FRD Cabinet, FRD Staff Training and Multi-Generational Philanthropy Program. Previously, she served as Chief of Staff at Birthright Israel Foundation for seven years, managing organizational initiatives forward through the office of the President. Irit played a key role with the leadership of BRIF and, specifically, in the work of establishing Birthright Israel Foundation as the ‘best place to work’ within the non-profit sector. After completing her undergraduate degree, Irit lived and worked in Spain for four years teaching English to business professionals. Upon return to the United States, before she joined the non-profit sector, she focused her career in Recruitment, Human Resources and Vendor Management at Bank of America and Merrill Lynch. Irit volunteers as a Facilitator with Resetting the Table, helping organizations and individuals engage in productive conversations relating to Israel. She is currently participating in The Schusterman Fellowship, a leadership development program for individuals who are committed to growing their capacity to exercise leadership in the Jewish community.
Irit lives in Brooklyn with her husband, Brendan, and their son, Gibson. In her free time, she enjoys running, traveling, listening to live music, and spending time with friends and family.
