Holly has over 15 years of experience in the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors. Since 2012, Holly has served as Philanthropic Advisor to the D.N. Batten Foundation. In addition, she currently serves as facilitator and advisor to the Early Childhood Funders Network in Central Virginia.
From 2006 to 2011 Holly served as Director of Programs and Donor Engagement for the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation (CACF). While at the Foundation, she made next-generation philanthropy a priority, overseeing the Youth Service Award, which engaged local high school students in grantmaking, and founding CACF’s Future Fund, a giving circle that has engaged more than 400 donors in their 20’s, 30’s and 40’s.
Prior to CACF, Holly worked for nonprofits at the university, state, and national levels on a range of issues that included affordable housing, women’s health, and civic engagement.
She lives in Charlottesville with her husband, daughter, son and a poorly behaved chocolate lab named Porter.
