Colleen joined the Community Foundation of the Holland/Zeeland Area (CFHZ) as VP of Development and Donor Services in 2018. Colleen has been engaged with CFHZ for more than a decade since she helped establish the Holland Young Professionals, HYP Fund to inspire philanthropy in young Holland/Zeeland area professionals. In 2015, Colleen served on the Campaign Committee for the Today. Tomorrow. Forever. Campaign for CFHZ’s Community’s Endowment. In 2016, she joined the Board of Trustees and served on the Distribution Committee.
As Vice President of Development and Donor Services, Colleen leads CFHZ’s efforts to grow the Community’s Endowment and provide exceptional services to donors to help them achieve their charitable goals. She works with individuals, families, and companies, along with their Professional Advisors, to help them organize their charitable giving for maximum impact.
In addition to being trained in the 21/64 Approach, Colleen achieved her designation as a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP) through the American College of Financial Services, holds a BA in Communication from Aquinas College, and has completed the Principles & Techniques of Fundraising course through the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy.
