BETSY LOWELL BERGER
Born in New York, Betsy was raised in Woodland Hills, CA and is a graduate of UCLA. After a seven-year stint in photojournalism, Betsy moved on to a distinguished career in Jewish communal work where she honed her professional skills, working to ensure the Jewish future and care for Jews in need. Prior to coming to The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles in 2013 where she is currently applying her talent and experience as the Senior Vice President, Donor Relations & Planned Giving, Betsy held senior positions at Hadassah Southern California, The American Technion Society (Western Region), and the previously named New Community Jewish High School (now deToledo High School) where she partnered with leadership on the Capital and Endowment Campaign for the new campus.
Betsy has served in a leadership capacity on the board of Kadima Hebrew Academy, the Mountain View Homeowners Association, the Jewish Communal Professionals of Southern California (Executive Committee), as well as in her current position on the Western Region Council of the Birthright Israel Foundation.
An avid people watcher and student of life, Betsy’s focus relies on a deeply personal and personalized approach towards helping family members, across generations, understand their values and navigate their relationships in order to realize their passions and achieve their philanthropic goals.
