Ari is the Senior Philanthropic Officer with The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington, where she supports leaders in the community as they access and activate their leadership through their investment in communal growth. Ari has dedicated her career to fostering relationships between people(s) to build vibrant, accessible, and inclusive communities. Prior to her move to the Washington DC area, Ari’s work focused on communal capacity-building, most recently at Big Sister Association of Greater Boston. Before that role, she worked at Encounter Programs where she designed and implemented programming that focused on the intersection between the Jewish community, Jewish identity, and the manner in which the North American Jewish community engages with Israel. Ari holds a M.A. in Coexistence and Conflict Transformation, with a focus on grassroots initiatives and the neuroscience of conflict, from The Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University and B.A.s from Columbia University and The Jewish Theological Seminary. She is currently a Wexner Foundation Field Fellow and is a certified 21/64 advisor.
