Under Alex Eaton’s leadership, the Community Foundation of Utah has doubled in assets and now offers donors significant expertise for complex gifts such as private stock and real estate. In her role as Chief Executive Officer, Alex brings over twenty-five years of for-profit and non-profit leadership experience. Prior to joining the Community Foundation of Utah, Alex served as Chief Financial Officer for the Girl Scouts of Utah. Before transitioning to the public sector, Alex was the Chief Operating Officer for Aqueduct Capital, raising capital for private equity and hedge fund managers throughout the United States. In addition to her executive leadership and financial experience, she has deep management and investment expertise, including nearly a decade with Goldman Sachs. Alex also served as Director for the National Epilepsy Support Foundation in Harare, Zimbabwe, and was active in leading outreach programs to improve the quality of life for underprivileged children in Zimbabwe. She has served on the Board of Directors for the Houston Arboretum and Nature Center and the Lawndale Art Center, and has been a mentor and volunteer with Management Leaders of Tomorrow. Alex earned her Bachelor of Arts in Humanities from the University of California at Berkeley and completed studies in the Masters of Public Administration program at the University of South Africa, and the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design at Stanford.
