Sara is a dedicated philanthropist and consultant with special interests in international development, global health and education, and human rights. She is a trained birth doula and strong advocate for maternal health and birth rights. Born to an American mother and French/Saudi Arabian father, Sara and her siblings were brought up in an international environment in Geneva, Switzerland. Together, they have worked for over a decade providing grants in over 12 countries in the areas of education, women’s and human rights and health, improving the lives of over half a million individuals. Prior to receiving her Master’s degree in Fundraising and Grantmaking at New York University, Sara built Michael Kors’ corporate social responsibility platform including a successful partnership with the World Food Programme and the “Watch Hunger Stop” campaign. In 2013, Sara became a founding member of Maverick Collective, a ground-breaking philanthropic and advocacy initiative to transform the lives of girls and women around the world, co-chaired by Her Royal Highness Crown Princess of Norway Mette-Marit and Melinda Gates. Her pilot project is focused on bringing life-saving medications to pregnant women in Uganda, which is supported by a giving circle led by Sara. She is the founder of Ethos Philanthropies, a consulting firm based out of New York City and London, working closely with families and individuals on their philanthropic goals.
