Rosemary Calderalo is the Director of Advancement at the Institute of Noetic Sciences, based in Maryland. In her current role Rosemary leads the development team at IONS, supporting excellence in donor services and engaging donors, professional advisors and their clients in philanthropic planning on topics ranging from tax strategies, multi-generational conversations, to legacy giving and major gifts. Previously she served as the Director of Gift Planning at the Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County. She has over 25 years of experience in the nonprofit sector in fundraising, donor support, programs and executive leadership. Rosemary has found that regardless of scope of wealth, people often do not believe their lives have made or can make a difference; she enjoys helping people see that they can do just that, and that their dreams for the world can come true through the power of their charitable giving. Rosemary has also served in leadership positions with organizations such as the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, the Baltimore Community Foundation, Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake, United Way’s 2-1-1 in the Hudson Valley and the American Red Cross in New York and Connecticut, serving as a national trainer with that organization. Rosemary holds a B.A. in English/Writing Arts from SUNY Oswego, an M.S. in Continuing Studies/Women’s Studies from Mankato State University in MN, and a doctorate in Adult Education and Women’s Studies from Syracuse University. In addition to her nonprofit work, Rosemary has a private practice focused on spiritual and personal development.
