Rebecca W. Sauer is Manager, Grants and Donor Services and has been a member of the team at Thrivent Charitable since December 2000. As a 21/64 Certified Advisor, Rebecca provides dedicated support to hundreds of donors, guiding them to reach their charitable goals by working to develop and implement Thrivent Charitable’s donor services and grantmaking programs.
Rebecca has served as an advocate and champion for the diversity and inclusion efforts within Thrivent’s corporate cultural competence leadership cohort. She has served as the board chair for Minnesota Interfaith Power & Light, has been membership/communications co-chair for the steering committee of EPIP Minnesota, and is also a Lutheran Volunteer Corps alum. Rebecca received her bachelor’s degree in bassoon performance from St. Olaf College and received her MiniMBA for NonProfit Organizations from the University of St. Thomas.
Rebecca recently ended her term as board president for Minnesota Symphonic Winds and as a member of the EcoFaith Network team of the Minneapolis Area Synod of the ELCA working for environmental justice.
She and her husband live with their two children in St. Paul, Minn. Rebecca is an active member at Lutheran Church of the Resurrection and enjoys being a mom and playing her bassoon at church and for the Minnesota Symphonic Winds.
