Rachel English has worked on many sides of the social sector, in fundraising, service delivery and granting. She is currently a philanthropic advisor at Mutual Trust, working with clients to identify their philanthropic passions.
Mutual Trust was founded to manage the affairs of the Myer and Baillieu families in the early 1900s. From our beginnings as two single-family offices, we have evolved to meet the needs of a changing world and have become Australia’s largest multi-family office. Mutual Trust has always had a focus on giving with purpose. From our origins supporting the philanthropic endeavours of our founding families, to facilitating hundreds of charitable grants in a time of increasing need.
With a decade of philanthropic experience in Australia and the UK, making philanthropy more accessible and meaningful drives most of Rachel’s work. To this end, she is co-chair of NEXUS Australia’s Advisory Council, a Director of the Inner North Community Foundation, a Director of the English Family Foundation and a former Committee Member of the Australian International Development Network (AIDN).
