EXPERIENCE OVERVIEW: I work with siblings, couples, and families to build out grantmaking strategies, grant dockets, investment policy statements, and their mission/vision/values. I spend a good amount of time walking with individuals as executive counsel: how to lead and govern effectively, how to tend to matters of soul care to avoid burnout, and how to finesse intra-family/board dynamics. As an attorney, I also support families and foundations that wish to dissolve, merge, or form.
I have a joint JD/MPP and am admitted to the California Bar.
Fellowships: Jesse Marvin Unruh Assembly Fellow; Tony Patiño Fellow.
Certifications: Parent Leader Institute, Innovate Public Schools; Facilitator, 21/64 Next Gen Philanthropy; Coaching for Effective Philanthropy, Exponent Philanthropy.
I’ve served on ten boards; currently two.
WHY I AM A 21/64 FACILITATOR: You do essential work.
HOW I CAN HELP: Executive counsel, coaching, advising. Topics: governance, boards, entity formation, aligning investment and grant portfolios, soul care, and family dynamics.
