Nanyamka Hales, MPH became a member of the Donor Services Team at the Baltimore Community Foundation (BCF) in November 2018 as a Donor Services Associate. Nanyamka was promoted to Donor Services Officer in April 2020. In her role as Donor Services Officer, she is responsible for working with fund holders on their philanthropy journey via assistance with opening/closing funds, assisting with grant recommendations, and providing additional account management support as requested for fund holders at BCF, primarily supporting Baltimore City and Baltimore County in Maryland. Nanyamka received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Clark Atlanta University and Masters in Public Health in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from Boston University School of Public Health. Prior to BCF, Nanyamka served in numerous public health program management positions at the American Cancer Society- New England Division, Maryland Department of Health, and Massachusetts Department of Public Health to name a few. In these positions she managed various public health programs with million dollar budgets with a cancer and kidney disease focus. In addition to her professional positions, Nanyamka has been a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. since 1999 where she has held various National, Regional, State, and local leadership positions and is currently a member and Social Action Chair of the Eta Pi Zeta Chapter in Montgomery County, Maryland. In her free time, Nanyamka enjoys traveling, visiting family, friends, aquariums, museums and cultural events.
