Lisa Barr is Regional Director of Development, West based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Lisa joined National Philanthropic Trust (NPT) in January 2020. She provides charitable planning expertise to donors and their advisors to accelerate giving and unlock non-cash assets for social good. Lisa brings more than 14 years of philanthropic experience to her role, previously serving as Director of Philanthropic Entrepreneurship at Silicon Valley Community Foundation. Lisa has also held executive director and development positions in nonprofit arts organizations.
EXPERIENCE, INVOLVEMENT, AND EXPERTISE
Lisa earned a Master of Business Administration from Boston University Questrom School of Business and a Bachelor of Music from Vanderbilt University and is currently pursuing the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP®) designation. Lisa frequently speaks at industry conferences with audiences of financial, legal, tax and nonprofit professionals on topics including donor-advised funds, charitable gifts of non-cash assets and nonprofit revenue stream diversification.
Lisa has written articles for NPT on topics including impact investing and strengthening client-advisor connections in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
