Lani began her career in philanthropy at The San Francisco Foundation twenty-five years ago. For the subsequent 16 years, she worked with three generations of one family at the Goldman Environmental Foundation, where she helped lead efforts to connect solutions-oriented international grassroots leaders with the platforms, partners and resources that helped them sustain inspiring environmental and social change. In 2016, Lani joined the Marin Community Foundation as Senior Philanthropic Advisor. At MCF, Lani works with more than 70 donor clients and families to support their giving using strategic approaches to help ensure meaningful impact and values-based personal fulfillment and joy. Lani earned her Bachelor’s degree from California State University, Long Beach and her Master’s degree in international relations from Boston University.
