Heidi Binder, Donor Relations Officer at The Oregon Community Foundation (OCF), is responsible for providing support to advised fund donors, assisting them to reach their charitable giving goals and connecting them to resources available through the Foundation. Prior to joining OCF, Heidi spent seven years as a Program Director at the University of California Berkeley working with donors and alumni to the university as well as international students. In this capacity, she developed training programs and convened with educational, business and government leaders from around the world. Heidi also served as a community mediator and dialogue facilitator covering topics such as racism, peacemaking in the Middle East and post-9/11 issues. Heidi holds a master’s degree in intercultural relations with a focus on conflict transformation from the University of the Pacific. She has taught university-level courses in intercultural conflict in the U.S. and in Germany. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in French from the University of Oregon. When not at work, Heidi helps with the neighborhood food project, serves as a literacy coach and chases her two young sons as well as Frisbees and fresh snow with her husband.
