Ginelle is a member of GMA’s family philanthropy consulting practice and staff to GMA’s foundation services clients. In her work with multigenerational family foundations, she has helped develop focused grantmaking portfolios and create new grantmaking initiatives, helped facilitate virtual strategic planning retreats, and assisted in a grant portfolio review for a client shifting its grantmaking focus.
Most recently, Ginelle supported a seven-member family foundation board in researching and developing a behavioral health initiative across seven communities in the United States and, in response to the pandemic, rapidly rolling out a telehealth initiative to address the more immediate needs of behavioral health organizations.
As a program associate at GMA, Ginelle provides administrative and grantmaking assistance on an ongoing basis to eight client foundations, primarily focused on women and children, health, artists, and environmental projects, both in the Boston Area and worldwide.
Originally from the Netherlands, Ginelle studied sociology, international law, and international relations, with a particular interest in human rights, at the University College Roosevelt in the Netherlands. Ginelle previously worked at the Roosevelt Foundation in the Netherlands and the Benedict Silverman Foundation in Connecticut.
