Evelyn Ryberg, Senior Director of Philanthropic Services, CAP®

Evelyn joined Greater Tacoma Community Foundation in July 2014. As Senior Director of Philanthropic Services, she helps clients articulate and advance their highest aspirations for self, family, and society through philanthropy. She also serves as the principal liaison with professional advisors providing strategies for charitable giving in financial and estate plans for their clients.
Evelyn holds the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® (CAP®) designation from the American College of Financial Services which provides skills and tools to bring philanthropic vision to reality. She has facilitated four learning cohorts for the CAP® designation over the past five years. Prior to joining GTCF her career was in the financial services industry, including over eight years as a Vice President and Private Banker with the Wealth Management divisions of Fifth Third Bank, and JP Morgan Private Wealth Management.
Evelyn enjoys presenting to community groups and professional organizations about the power of philanthropy, and often does seminars on legacy planning and charitable giving strategies. She is 21/64 certified which enables her to serve as a facilitator for multigenerational family conversations involving family philanthropy. She is a member of Rotary 8 Club in Tacoma, Tacoma Estate Planning Council, South Sound Planned Giving Council, and serves on the board of Leave 10, a philanthropic organization promoting the concept of leaving 10% of one’s estate as a charitable legacy to positively impact our communities for generations.
