Dara Weinerman Steinberg is passionate about helping nonprofits achieve their potential and assisting philanthropists engaging in meaningful, impactful giving. For nearly a decade, she held senior positions at Lippman Kanfer Family Philanthropies, guiding grantmaking and working with grantees on their programmatic and organizational challenges. She cares deeply about intergenerational philanthropy and developing one’s giving regardless of age or amount of wealth. She has worked with philanthropists of diverse backgrounds and ages, and facilitated conversations about values and strategy. Dara is a 21/64 Certified Advisor in Intergenerational Philanthropy. Over the past twenty years, Dara has held staff and consulting roles for a variety of nonprofits, focusing on their strategy, development, and operations.
Interests include involving children in giving and aggregating best practices from nonprofits, business, and behavioral science so that nonprofits and philanthropists can draw on this knowledge.
Dara earned her MBA from Fordham University and BA from Smith College. She is a published poet and produced playwright. Dara lives with her husband and sons in Northeast Ohio.
