Angela is part of Madison Community Foundation’s Donor Engagement team and serves as Development Director. She assists individuals and nonprofit organizations achieve their philanthropic goals. She is also the staff liaison to the community’s women’s fund, A Fund for Women and MCF’s six regional giving partners in the neighboring Wisconsin communities of Columbus, Lodi, Middleton, Monona, Portage and Rio. These partners work with MCF to support specific local communities and causes.
Her first job was as a Community Development Planner and then as a community center director in her hometown of Hammond, Indiana and served her community on a number of nonprofit boards. She started her development career path in higher education fundraising spending ten years at Purdue University in various roles in donor services and stewardship. She is also a past board member for CASE (Council for Advancement and Support of Education) District V.
Angela holds a BS in Political Science, a MS in Human Resources Development from Indiana State University, and a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. Community service is her passion; she is a subscribing life member of the NAACP and a proud member of the Madison Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. had has served in various positions including: Internal Audit Chair, Assistant Treasurer and Economic Development Co-Chair.
In 2017, Angela was named to the Black Power List which recognizes the 35 Most Influential Black Leaders in Wisconsin.
