ALEX EATON
Alex has served as Chief Executive Officer of the Community Foundation of Utah since 2015. She brings over twenty-five years of for-profit and nonprofit leadership experience and has expanded the Foundation’s reach to foster greater community engagement, impact, and stewardship. Prior to joining the Community Foundation of Utah, Alex served as Chief Financial Officer for the Girl Scouts of Utah. Before transitioning to the public sector, Alex was the Chief Operating Officer for Aqueduct Capital, raising capital for private equity and hedge funds. In addition to her executive leadership and financial experience, she has deep management and investment expertise, including nearly a decade in Private Wealth Management with Goldman Sachs. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Alex served as Director for the National Epilepsy Support Foundation in Harare, Zimbabwe, and was active in leading outreach programs to improve the quality of life for underprivileged children in Zimbabwe. She currently serves on the Boards of the Utah Foundation, UServeUtah and ShowUp Utah with First Lady Abby Cox. Alex earned her Bachelor of Arts in Humanities from the University of California at Berkeley and completed studies in the Master of Public Administration program at the University of South Africa. She was selected for the first cohort of Designing for Social Systems at Stanford University’s Hasso Plattner Institute of Design and is a 21/64 Certified Advisor.
